Choirmaster Aliona Ovsiannikova-Voogd
Our choirmaster Aliona Ovsiannikova was born in Moscow and grew up in Amsterdam.
From 1983 till 1986 she studied Church choir music in Theological Academy
in St.Petersbyrg (at that time Leningrad). After her graduation she worked
for some time as a choirmaster in St.Petersbyrg.
Since 1990 she is a head of our parochial choir.
In 1999, on occasion of the 25th anniversary of our parish, she was
awarded a Charter of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia for
her work in the parish. In 2007 she was awarded the Order of Saint
of St.Sergi of Radonezh, third degree.
In 1996 Aliona Ovsiannikova founded chamber choir
"Oktoich" and
has, since then, been the director of the choir.
